I’ve been sticking some of my usual trails this past week – getting ready for the Pengelly Double Dip on Saturday – but here are some wildflower reports going into the weekend:
Got drenched at Mount Jumbo, but found roundleaf alumroot stalks topped with pale yellow flowers.

Also found alumroot on south side of Pattee Canyon, along with low clusters of white false solomonseal and lily-of-the-valley.

Also on south side of Pattee, low clusters of yellow Oregon grape, stalks of white lousewort with fernlike leaves and more beargrass.

A couple of flowers I only saw one each of in Pattee: large, white Canada violet and tall, red spotted coralroot.

Took a run halfway up Blue Mountain NRT today – there’s a good amount of yellow paintbrush, roundleaf alumroot, larkspur and lupine.

Couple of other flowers I forgot from Blue Mountain NRT: Deep pink wild geraniums and my first wood’s rose of year, both about halfway up.
